We need your help to raise funds to help injured, sick, homeless, abandoned, and neglected animals in our community! This is a fun-filled day for people and their animals to come and join us for a 2-mile fundraising walk around beautiful Buttonwood Park, as well as enjoy lots of entertainment. Animal lovers without dogs are also welcome!
Attendance to check out the vendors and entertainment in the center ring is FREE (but be sure to bring some cash for food and wares!).
There is a $15 registration fee for each person participating in the fundraising walk, but please help us raise as much as you can by asking friends, family, coworkers and neighbors to sponsor you for the Walk for Animals. Maximize your fundraising impact by creating an online profile (check out our Sample Fundraising Profile) that can be shared to help you raise money. Just choose "Humane Coalition for Animals of Greater New Bedford" as your certified charity. It's easy and free!100% of the funds raised are used to support our variety of programs that benefit local animals and our community. Registration will be between 11:00 and 12:00pm and the Walk will begin at 12:00 pm with a Blessing of the Animals.
The purpose of Greyhound Pets of America (GPA) is to find responsible loving homes for greyhounds, to acquaint the public with the desirability of greyhounds as pets and to inform them of the availability of greyhounds for adoption.
The Pet Pantry's mission is to distribute pet food and related pet items to families in need in order to keep pets and their families together in times of hardship. We also hold fundraisers and events to educate our community to the growing epidemic of hungry pets.
